Food Cook-Offs
 
One of the highlights of the festival each year is the gumbo cook-off competition. Chefs prepare steaming hot pots of meat or seafood gumbo and compete for the title of Gumbo Champion. We served 200 gallons of gumbo in 2007.

If you would like to participate as a chef or a sponsor, contact Kim Welsh at 225-869-3636. These events will be held on Friday night in conjunction with the Gumbo Cook-Off.
